Commemorative earthenware plate for the L’Etoile Polaire Lodge in Paris, Grand Orient de France, 23 cm, 1989.
A somewhat naive and artisanal piece (the design was no doubt conceived by a member of the lodge), indicative of a widespread practice on this type of medium. L’Etoile Polaire has existed without interruption since 1766 and in 1789 celebrated the 150th anniversary of its establishment in Batignolles-Monceau, at its premises on Rue de la Condamine.
