Flagship of Vice-admiral Sir Bernard Rawlings, commander-in-chief of the British Pacific Fleet, the
"King George V" was present at the Okinawa landing and the Japanese surrender cerrmony in the Bay of Tokyo in 1945. It also participated in the destruction of the German battleship "Bismarck".
