Denarius, M. Furius Philus (fl. 119 BC), 119 BC, Roman Republic. Obverse: Head of Janus in a laurel wreath, inscription M.FOVRI.LF., beaded border. Reverse: Roma in a Corinthian helmet, holding a sceptre in her left hand, crowning a trophy with her right hand; above the trophy a star; behind it the inscription ROMA; on both sides of the trophy a carnyx and a shield; below the line the inscription PHILI (PHI in ligature); pearl border. Coin (Rome), diameter 19.7 mm, weight 3.80 g, axis 0°.
